Building Features

  • Front Desk Customer Service: 24 hour customer service at the Front Desk can be arranged in advance.

  • Air-conditioning/air-cooling: For your comfort.

  • Elevators: Most facilities have elevator access to upper floors. Medway and Sydenham Halls are three-storey walk-ups.

  • Accessible suites: A limited number of accessible suites are available.

  • Exercise room: Each building offers an exercise room outfitted with a basic selection of fitness equipment.

  • TV lounge: Conveniently located in each building for your enjoyment.

  • Laundry facilities: Card-activated laundry facilities are available in each residence. Pre-paid cards are available at the Front Desk - refundable deposit required. Irons and ironing boards are also available through the Front Desk.

  • Mini computer lab: Need to access your email? Computer labs are located in most residence buildings and are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Software in each lab includes Corel WordPerfect Suite, Microsoft Office and Netscape Navigator.

  • Music/Piano room: Music/piano practice rooms are featured in each building.

  • Dining room

  • High speed Internet access available in each residence.

  • Vending Services: Vending machines, featuring a full line of snacks and beverages, are located throughout all residence buildings as well as many other locations across campus.

  • Linens & towels: Provided.

  • Telephone Service: Local calls are complimentary and pre-paid calling cards are required for long distance calls.

  • Analog lines: Every bedroom in the suite-style buildings has its own analog connection for your use.

  • High speed Internet connection

  • Pets: Sorry... no pets please! Seeing-eye dogs are permitted.

  • Smoking: The University is a non-smoking environment which includes all campus buildings and residences.

  • Parking: Complimentary, conference parking is available for overnight conference guests, in designated lots. Paid visitor parking is also available across campus. Western Parking Services

    • The McIntosh Gallery is a public art gallery which serves the University and surrounding community. Built in 1942, it is the oldest university art gallery in Canada. Free Admission.

  • Bank Services: Bank machines are located in some residence buildings, the lower level of the UCC as well as other locations across campus. There is also a TD Canada Trust located on Richmond St., at the University main gates.
